The Austin Area Urban League is a local affiliate of the National Urban League, dedicated to assisting under-served Austin residents in achieving societal and economic equality through education, employment readiness, health and wellness, and affordable housing. The National Urban League, founded in 1910, has over 100 local affiliates in 36 states and the District of Columbia, impacting the lives of over 2 million people nationwide. The Austin Area Urban League continues to hold fast to its original mission of removing barriers to education, economic and social success, and adapting to the ever-changing Austin environment.
